You do not need to be a certain age or body type. I have performed over 8,000 breast surgeries on women ranging from their early 20s to their late 60s. A 28-year-old who has always felt self-conscious in a swimsuit and a 42-year-old mom whose breasts deflated after nursing two kids are both great candidates.
What separates a good candidate from someone who should wait? Realistic expectations. If you come in and say "I want to go from an A cup to a full C and still look natural," that is something I can work with. If you bring in a photo of someone with a completely different body frame and say "make me look like this," we need to have a different conversation. Who Is a Good Candidate for Breast Augmentation?
You do not need a specific "reason" to consider breast augmentation. But in my experience, the women who benefit most tend to be in one of these situations:

What to Expect: Your Breast Augmentation Journey
Step 1: Your Personal Consultation
Everything starts here. You will meet with me one-on-one to discuss your goals, concerns, and expectations. We will go over your medical history, examine your anatomy, and try different implant sizes so you can see and feel what works best for your body. I will also walk you through before-and-after photos of real patients so you have a clear picture of what is possible.
This is your time to ask questions. There is no pressure, no rush.
Step 2: Choosing Your Implants
Together, we will select the right implant type, size, shape, and placement for you:
- Saline implants are salt water filled and offer adjustability during surgery and a slightly lower cost
- Gummy Bear or Memory Gel implants are silicone implants that feel the most like natural breast tissue and are the most popular choice among my patients. These implants maintain their shape even under pressure or ruptures and provide a very natural contour
We will also discuss incision placement (I prefer the transaxillary approach for its scarless results) and whether the implant sits above or below the muscle. This is not a decision I make alone. I guide you with my expertise, but the final choice is always yours.
Step 3: Surgery Day
The procedure itself takes about 30 to 45 minutes. Plan to be at our facility for one to two hours total, including preparation and post-op monitoring. You will be under general anesthesia, and monitored by an anesthesiologist during the surgery and in the recovery room. You will go home the same day with a trusted companion.

I will see you for follow-up appointments the next day to make sure everything is healing beautifully. My team and I are available by phone if you have any questions during your recovery.
Recovery and Downtime After Breast Augmentation
Recovery is one of the biggest concerns patients have, and I understand that. Here is what a typical timeline looks like with the Mira Mist technique:
- Days 1 to 3: Rest at home. Some soreness and swelling is normal. Most patients describe the discomfort as mild, especially compared to traditional techniques.
- Days 3 to 5: Many patients feel well enough to return to work and light daily activities. You still need a supportive bra which we will supply for you.
- Weeks 2 to 3: Swelling continues to decrease. You will start to see your results taking shape.
- Weeks 4 to 6: You can gradually return to exercise and more strenuous activity, with my clearance.
- Months 3 to 6: Your implants fully settle into their final position, and you see your completed results.
